Who We Are

We are the Redeemed Church which as its origins in the Redeemed Church of Fargo and was born here in Jamestown on July 21, 2024 with the mission of making all people disciples of Jesus Christ. The Jamestown Redeemed congregation is led by Didier Kasongo, Pastor since 2019 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Pastor Didier is married and father of 3 children. He was born in Kamina and raised in Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has a degree in Finance and Management from the University of Lubumbashi and a Certificate in Theology from the Theological Higher Institute of CEPAC in Lubumbashi, where he has a church and Foundation called New Life. Didier SHIMBI lives and works here in Jamestown, where he carries out pastoral ministry with a team of God’s servants.

Worship is filled with vibrant music, prayer, testimonies, and Bible-based preaching. We worship in four languages: French, Swahili, Kinyamulenge, and English. Holy Communion is celebrated on the last Sunday of the month. We invite everyone to join us for worship on Sunday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 pm.
